NECC revisited

Hi,
This is my first blog ever. I'm still on a high from the NECC conference in Washington, and I'm overwhelmed with the wealth of information circulating. I'm spending hours every day reading other blogs, wikis, and watching the videos from Istevision. I don't know where to begin. I want to create blogs and wikis for my 3rd and 4th graders but I can't decide how to start. I've explored Classblogmeister, Edublogs, Blogster and Wikispaces. I think Wikispaces is the route to take. I discovered Glogster and I'm trying to embed that into Wikispaces, but I can't get the sizing right so I can stretch it to fit the whole window. Last night I watched Steve Dembo's presentation from NECC. He is an awesome speaker. He really gets the connection between technology and education. He laughs at people who spend so much time creating bookmarks in Delicious, yet there is nobody who puts in more time or is more dedicated than he is in finding new tools. Bravo Steve!! These are the wikis that I'm following: Mrs. Smoke at http://mrssmoke.onsugar.com/ ; Cool Tools for Schools at http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/ and B-7 Bobcats at http://b-7bobcats.wikispaces.com/. Hopefully, today I can jump in and start wikis for my classes.
